AdVis supports a wide variety of image formats. Backgrounds and masks are automatically scaled to the correct screen resolution. Other images that are loaded into AdVis will have a Scale setting to resize the image when it is on screen. Although AdVis handles scaling automatically, it is recommended that you use image resolutions similar to the size you would like to see on screen. Although scaling the background is very quick and not even noticeable, if AdVis has to scale 500 copies of an image that has a very high resolution, there will be a drop in performance.
AdVis supports Alpha channels so your image can be any shape and blend into the rest of the effect.
Supported File Formats are:
JPEG Compressed Format (*.jpeg, *.jpg)
Windows Bitmap Format (*.bmp, *.dib)*
PNG Format (*.png)*
DirectDrawSurface Format (*.dds)
High Dynamic Range Format (*.hdr)
Truevision Targa Format (*.tga)*
